Our engineer Team are now studying and developing the sincos signal incremental encoder

(~1Vpp 2048PPR ),

this sincos is widely used on elevator , lift controller.

Sin Cos encoder is belongs to incremental encoder, but different wave form compared to square-wave signal.

Even though both are incremental encoder type, why sin cos encoder is better than square-wave encoder?

A square-wave encoder output with the phase difference of 90 degree, there is only 4 times the frequency can be obtained by XOR.

But the sin  cos wave phase difference of analog 90 degree ,the frequency can be divided by ten to thousands of times, 

which will greatly improves the measurement accuracy.
Currently, most of high precision encoders are implemented in this way.
